Sports physiotherapy is a specialization of physiotherapy aimed at all those people who regularly practice sports, whether in a basic, beginner or elite practice.

What is sports physiotherapy?

Sports physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy, through which rehabilitation is sought, in the event that there is already an injury, and the prevention of such injuries to prevent them from occurring in both amateur and professional athletes.

In addition, it also focuses on giving correct guidelines for practicing physical activity safely and trying to avoid damage, bad posture and unnecessary injuries.

What is your objective?

The main objectives of sports physiotherapy are:

  • To treat injuries produced during sports activities.
  • Shorten recovery time when an injury has occurred and prepare and assist the individual for their return to exercise.
  • Adapt and prepare the body to the training to obtain maximum benefits.
  • Avoid and reduce risk factors for possible injury.
  • Prevent injuries.
  • Advise on good exercise practices.

At Bwell Clinic we will advise you and provide personalized follow-up to reduce and prevent the risk of injury and, in the event that an injury has already occurred, to make the healing process as minimal as possible. That is why we have Llorenç Licona, expert in physiotherapy, and Beatriz Arrillaga, expert in physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation.
