For this purpose, during the patient’s rehabilitation process, physiological movement, manual therapy, physical exercise and the improvement and re-education of the cardiorespiratory system are used, educating the patient on the guidelines to follow and to avoid for a speedy recovery.
SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY AND SPORTS REHABILITATION: It is aimed at any person who regularly practices sports. Whether it is a grassroots, amateur, health, elite or high performance sport. Sports physiotherapy consists of preventive and recovery work for injuries.
Within the same physical therapy session, if the patient agrees and it is indicated in his treatment, we use dry needling. It is an innovative physiotherapeutic technique that uses acupuncture needles to treat certain ailments.
REHABILITATION, TRAUMA AND POST-SURGICAL PHYSIOTHERAPY: The objectives are to improve strength, mobility, fitness and reduce the intensity, frequency and duration of possible pain associated with the trauma or injury.
We try to get our patients to recover, as far as possible, the quality of life they had before the injury. In case of surgery, the physiotherapist will follow the recovery times of the tissues to perform the different treatments. Physiotherapy will be aimed at the complete recovery of mobility and the treatment of possible pain associated with surgery and immobilization.
Dry needling:
Dry needling is a physical therapy treatment used to improve muscle pain (myofascial pain), trigger points, contractures and other musculoskeletal ailments.
It consists of using a very fine needle (similar to those used for acupuncture) and inserting it into the muscle to reduce pain. Unlike manual treatment, this technique allows to reach deeper areas, which makes it a very effective technique in certain pathologies.
All Bwell Clinic physiotherapists are qualified to use this technique when necessary and the patient agrees. For us, it is one of the many techniques that we can use in a physiotherapy session.
